The net project sends/receives data to/from the server. The playing.cxx file in the bzflag source, takes these messages an updates the internal world state ( the scene project ). The localplayer.cxx is most of the actions that a user can take to change the world. Bzflag has each user keep a copy of the world state. More modern systems keep an authoritive world state on the server as well.
