BUTT seams to loose synchro after some hours broadcasting : Win 10 64 bits
Icecast and Shoutcast broadcasting client

Hello,
version is 0.1.21.
I notice on windows 10 64 bits, that BUTT seams to loose synchro after some hours broadcasting : the sound begins awful, about the same as if the processor would be 100%, but it’s not.
I need to close but and reopen it to make it work correctly again.
It does it with mp3 stream and AAC stream (I didn’t test with others codecs).
I use the 0.1.21 version on a windows 10, 1903 64 bits.
Do you know that problem?
previously I used older versions with no problem, …but it was on an other 64 bits computer, on a widows 7 32 bits.
Thank you.
And thank you for your app, very useful.
Jean
Hi! Can you let me know if you resolve this? I am having the same issue and am mystified by the connection drops (although Butt still seems to think it's connected with no audio coming out the other end) and especially the "bit-crushed" digital distortion sound we sometimes get. I just installed latest version (1.25) in hopes that this will resolve it, but I haven't seen anything in the changelog that seems like it would address this.
Hello,
I changed the version, I hope that this new version will be OK to you.
in the contrary, write to the developper, he is very help-full and nice guy.

Hello Mike,
short answer:
This should have been solved with version 0.1.22 and later.
The corresponding changelog entry was:
"replaced experimental portaudio version with the stable portaudio version".
I have to admit this is not an obvious statement for the user. Sorry :)
Hope version 0.1.25 works for you!
Best,
Daniel
Thanks, Daniel- I installed 1.25, and it seems like it did it again. I will keep monitoring, and confirm, but it's very strange- Butt shows connected and receiving audio, just nothing coming out the other end. If it drops again I will look at our icecast server and see what it shows.
Hi Mike,
if it happens again, please click on the display to switch from "stream time" to "stream sent" view and tell me if the byte counter goes up or is stuck.
Daniel
Will do! Thanks! Actually it happened again this morning but I hadn't read your post yet. It seems to happen every couple of days. I did hop over and look at our icecast server while it was happening. The mountpoints were gone, but BuTT thought it was still connected. Icecast showed -3 listeners, which is an interesting concept...the anti-listener? I know there are far more than 3 people NOT listening to our station. ;-)
Yes. When it stopped playing again today I checked and the "stream sent" view is stuck.
Hi Mike,
Haha, the listener counter is indeed interesting :D
Thanks for the update. So now we can be sure that butt looses the connection to the server but does not detect it... Can you provide me a log file? Would be interesting to see what the servers says if the connection drops. I am also investigating this with another user who has similar or most probably the same issue.
Today I did a 8 hour test stream and everything worked fine :( I need to find a way to reproduce this issue...
We are having the same problem. We upgraded to 0.1.27 and the problem continues.
Good day
we have problem with our BUTT error parsing config
