This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=13&t=12> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the response! I just released 0.51, which should resolve some of your issues with access to tickets. You will need to add ACL controls to your DB... but it's a pretty simple process. The best way to submit feature requests is through the bugin bugin page... This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=12&t=12> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, This is the greates! Thanks so much for making a ticketing system that actually makes sense and works just like it should. I have version .07 running and just noticed that the original submitter of a ticket has no option to add comments to the ticket. Did you do this for a reason, or did you accidently forget the feature ? It would be nice if the person assigned to the ticket could have a two-way dialog with the originator by allowing the originator to add comments to the ticket. This way, if the person assigned to the ticket needs "more information," then the originator can just update the same ticket with his/her comments. I do have several enhacements/feature request, mostly in the area of reporting, is this the proper forum for these type request? How can I help? Thanks again for a great set of scripts! --perry ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sent using Phorum software version 3.3.1a <http://phorum.org> |

This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=10&t=6> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, the version that is currently in CVS contains a lot of bug fixes... this is one of them. It actually implements a ACL -- projects are no longer part of groups, but have ACL's saying who has read and write access to them. Just to warn you, before you upgrade... the CVS version does require PHP 4.1. Patches are always welcome, but it's preferred if they are against the latest CVS version. -Brian ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sent using Phorum software version 3.3.1a <http://phorum.org> |

This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=9&t=7> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, in the next version (which will require PHP 4.1) you can specify a lot of the verbage, including project name, etc. It's pretty cool. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I don't know when the next version will be out, but the CVS version tends to be stable when I am not working on it... heh... (i.e. it's not left broken for a week, but maybe an hour) -Brian ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sent using Phorum software version 3.3.1a <http://phorum.org> |

This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=7&t=7> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Bugin' is great, works like a charm. I have a couple of Ideas that I think could make it better and increase it's range of applications. first of all I am using Bugin' for a NOC (helpdesk) so if the label "Project" could become a vairable (like you have done with $option [ticketName] and $options[systemName]) it would then be possible to name it something like "Customer" and log tickets on a per customer basis. The second is to a little more network specific, Like many NOC's we have an MRTG graph for each customer, if when viewing a ticket for a paticular project (or customer) you could specify an image to go with it on the show ticket page, either configurable in the project admin section, or just by taking the project (customer) name and using this in a img tag. This could easily also be a logo or image related to the project (i.e. non network specific). Another solution would be to have this in the popup window from the "info" button Hope this is useful, Nathan. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sent using Phorum software version 3.3.1a <http://phorum.org> |

Couple things I should note here: A user should be able to see and modify every ticket they create. Permissions are not fully developed... =I Permissions are cached until a user logs out and back in Permissions are purly group-based at this time. A user should be able to create a ticket for any project, just because that is how things are now. (look for a change in 0.10... this should be a flag on projects) Glad to hear the rest of it is working out for you. =] On Wed, Nov 14, 2001 at 04:44:51PM -0000, tibor thurnay wrote: > This message was sent from: BugIn' General. > <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=6&t=6> > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > > Hi, > I installed bugin and I like it because it is light and not overcrowded... > > These are some things I noticed while playing around with it.: > > users can see all projects after loggin in, even those project which are in > groups the user himself is not in. > He can even add there a bug, be owner but he can't edit it afterwards. > Now IMHO either he should not be able to add something or he should be able > to edit it afterwards. > (I would find it best if the user couldn't even see the other projects). > > The same goes for the select project field in the add bug page. there are > all projects listed... > > Now I would like to know if this is intentional or if this is more or less a > bug which should be fixed. > If it's a bug I would look into it... > (as long as you don't mind). > > Ciao, > Tibor > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > Sent using Phorum software version 3.3 <http://phorum.org> > > _______________________________________________ > Bugin-users mailing list > Bug...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bugin-users -- notgod.core: no...@no... http://www.notgod.com/ |

This message was sent from: BugIn' General. <http://notgod.com/phorum/read.php?f=20&i=6&t=6> ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I installed bugin and I like it because it is light and not overcrowded... These are some things I noticed while playing around with it.: users can see all projects after loggin in, even those project which are in groups the user himself is not in. He can even add there a bug, be owner but he can't edit it afterwards. Now IMHO either he should not be able to add something or he should be able to edit it afterwards. (I would find it best if the user couldn't even see the other projects). The same goes for the select project field in the add bug page. there are all projects listed... Now I would like to know if this is intentional or if this is more or less a bug which should be fixed. If it's a bug I would look into it... (as long as you don't mind).
