#148 NUMBER field not properly updated

Using Version 2.6.4.0 for Windows

In any Transactions Window, if I have previously input information in the <Number> field of various transactions and I arbitrarily click on different transactions to highlight them for possible editing, the <Number> field does not consistently display the information previously entered.

I think that I may have reproduced this behaviour once, but I cannot consistently do so. Do you have a sequence of steps which allows you to consistently reproduce this behaviour?

Yes

1. click on to highlight a transation that you know has a certain number in it..
2. click on one that you know does not have an amout in it.
3. click on one that you know is supposed to have a different number in it.
4. goto 2
5. goto 3
6. goto 2
7. goto 3

It will consistently display the number from the first clicked on transaction.

Thanks. I believe that I have fixed this. Can you please take a look at it, and verify if it works for you in 2.6.4.1? You can download the pre-release 2.6.4.1 from http://devel.buddi.thecave.homeunix.org/builds/.

This has also been fixed in the Development version 2.9.8.1.

Yes! I tried Version 2.6.4.1 and so far, the functions I reported now work flawlessly!
Congratulations are in order for you on your quick repair times. Thank you very much! I love this program.

By a long shot, Buddi is the most used and useful program on my USB Flash Drive.

My Buddi could be a lot more friendly though, if in addition to all transactions, it could display or at least have the option to display the balances at either the top or bottom of a transactions window for:

1. Cleared Transations
2. Reconciled Translations.

You might also consider displaying the balance of only those items Not Cleared.

I can take a look at these suggestions; please add a feature request for each, so that I don't forget about them. Include as many details as possible in the request, about the implementation, layout, etc. There is no guarantee that I will add every feature request, but I do seriously consider each one. If I feel that it fits with the theme of Buddi, I will include them.

As for this bug, I am now releasing 2.6.4.1, and will be closing this ticket.
