Jordi, That is just fantastic! I'd like to work on getting things set up so you can manage the port changes, but I have one question. In setting up the .deb package, did you start from scratch or utilize the existing Debian files in misc/debian? If you have updates to those files, those would be great to update so we can get a little bit closer towards proper integration into apt. The menu and build configuration you selected sounds good. Sounds like you put a lot of great effort into it as well. Awesome work, and thanks! Cheers! Sean p.s. Feel free to join the BRL-CAD devel mailing list if you'd like your messages to reach a wider developer audience. The default app for *.g is archer, but it's so easy to change this by the user, at least in gnome. If You don't like this default association and prefer another one, please let me know. > > Just to know. Gambas (basic development environment) associates *.g to gambas script file, so there will be an association conflict with *.g files for people who installs brl-cad and gambas together. > > Some issues: > After install, the Application menu may not properly show the new "BRL-CAD" menu entry. This is not a brl-cad package problem but gnome update problem. Anyway, this is easily solved by just re-login. > > RtWizard do not works after install because the $PATH in no updated till re-login. I didn't find the way to change the global user $PATH variable without logout-login. It will work fine after re-login. > > If there are more graphical apps that You think can be included on the BRL-CAD menu, please let me know. > > Best regards, > -- > Jordi Sayol > > P.S.
