I've been experimenting with revolve primitives, with certain primitives I get a lot of "odd number of hits: 1" messages during the raytrace, and the revolved primitive isn't displayed.

What am I doing wrong? is my sketch malformed? 

The primitive in question is called: M5SH

Your sketch contains Bezier segments which the revolve can not handle. 
Replacing the Beziers by circular arcs could be a work around (if
applicable).  There is at least code for the arcs in the revolve (but I
haven't tested it yet).
