[Brlcad-users] BRLCAD 7 on Linux slackware 9.0 -- FB_FILE problem

Greetings once again folks,

Building BRLCAD 7 is a breeze compared to the old "cake" system.

No problems with the build, make benchmark couldn't find the .pix and gave
a lot of "wrong wrong wrong wrong" errors. I can reproduce them and
forward to the debug team if desired.

At present, there's a FB problem.

From `fbhelp`
Device: /dev/XDl

X11 (XFree86), nVidia AGP 8x "chaintech" card

With
`rt -s 512 /usr/brlcad/work/star.g ncc1701`

the framebuffer window pops up, proper size, the raytrace progresses in
fine detail, and the second it completes the trace, the image vanishes.
The framebuffer window remains.

I have seen this before but I've lost my notes. Perhaps this should be on
a FAQ page?
