There's a problem on the posted source tarball for Mac OS X.  You'll need to
regenerate the configure script by running ./autogen.sh first, then run ./configure
again as proceed.  A fixed tarball (probably 7.0.4) will be posted soon that
fixes a few of the problems being experienced.
