I tried briss 0.9 on a Debian (Squzeeze) system with several different java runtimes. Result is always the same:
In the briss window everything looks alright with tight margins around the main text area. The created PDF files seem to be cropped to the right size, too - unfortunately with a wide margin on the right and a very wide margin on the top side, where the text is cut off. (Left/bottom are o.k.).
Hi! Could you try a different pdf file? Has it ever worked on one of your files?

I had tried 2 or 3 files - not enough to exclude that this only happens with certain files. The files that I tried all showed the same result. But then I discovered that all the files in "/tmp" were deleted by my tests, so I had some more pressing issue to deal with ...
