It is to bring to your kind attention that when we are uploading the BRIGExample.fna file in the BLAST Ring Image Generator (BRIG) software, an error message is displayed, saying "file contains space. invalid filename." We have tried this with other .fna files we work with and we are confirmed that those files contain no spaces, but the same error message is coming.

We shall be highly obliged if you kindly help us to solve the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Please check the file path carefully, there may be a space in somewhere in the full path of the file. E.g.

    C:/documents and settings/guy/brigexample.fna

    will be invalid because of the spaces in the folder "document and settings".
