Hi When I set up email reminder for any appintment, I have always geting this message: "com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first". Could you please tell where I can enable 'STARTTLS ', or fix this problem?

to get a PDF of any borg printout, I just use PDF Creator on windows http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator. On linux CUPS seems to come with a PDF converter pseudo-printer as well. There is no reason to add export to PDF into borg itself.
People have suggested adding more project management. That is the kind of feature that might be added in the future (by me or a contributor). I've never done it because at work I am forced to use M$ Project and I just use borg to track simple tasks.

thanks for your reply. I am using the latest verion of BORG (1.7.1), the JAVA installed on both of my laptopa is 'Sun Java JRE 6 Update 15' and 'Sun Java JRE 6 Update 16' respectively, I set up 'smtp.gmail.com' as the mail server, using port 465.
BTW- I was trying to duplicate the problem this morning, but found nothing happens (no message) after clicking the 'Send Reminder Email' button. I checked my mailbox and found no email coming.

Thanks, Mike, I really like the BORG - I like the idea of integrating project management features into your own calendar, so the project key tasks can be displayed on the calender as well. this enables each individual project to have another detailed plan and structure behind. What I woud see BORG could even provide more benefit to a project manager is the enhancement of project management activities (such as planning - ordering of tasks?, controlling, issure tracking, etc). Have you planned the function of exporting calender as PDF document, and display the selected month in an one screen?
BTW - also tried to set up my hotmail account, and received the same error message. I will look forward to seeing the change.

What version of borg are you running? and what java version?
Also, are you using a well known mail service, like gmail, yahoo, or hotmail? (so that I can try to duplicate the problem).

Now I received the error message after 2 mins.
when I have port 465, I got this message "javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com, port: 465, response: -1"
when I have port 587, I got this message "com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. 21sm408601pzk.15"
I was using the instruction from gmail to input the SMTP infor, see

I set up a test account on gmail and was able to change the borg code to get it working. I had to turn on TLS support in the mail code.
I will have to add a user tunable option to turn TLS on and off because turning it on to get gmail working will cause other servers to stop working.
