Hi, I had been running "Server PHP Minimal 0.1" with the side panel view = http://216.239.39.104/search?q=3Dcache:W56B9fcbz2AJ:groups.yahoo.com/grou= p/bookmarksync/message/163+syncit+%22side+panel%22&hl=3Den&ie=3DUTF-8 Everything worked perfect. Along came my MAC Powerbook purchase. I am now using a PC (Internet = Explorer) and a Mac (Mozilla). As everyone knows there is no MAC client = out as of yet (or maybe ever) so my work around was to use the = "index.php"/ "view.php" to at least be able to access my bookmarks. The = only problem was that the view.php was not Mozilla friendly. The = bookmarks did not drop down from the folders when viewed with Mozilla. After much fiddling around I decided to upgrade to "Server PHP Minimal = version 0.2.2". After upgrading I still experienced the same problem on = the MAC Mozilla browser as well as a new error reported on line 130 of = "view.php". A little digging and I then came across the CVS page with different = view.php versions that are being worked on. After trying a few different = versions I was able to gain success with version 1.5 view.php. The = folders are now able to drop down in Mozilla!! Here is my problem- Even though the Mozilla problem is solved I have = lost the Internet Explorer side panel view (which I loved). The = bookmarks now appear in the main browser window of IE. I also received = two line errors (line 204 and line 234). I was able to rem out the line = 234 error but I can not seem to get rid of the line 204 error.=20 Can anyone give me any advice on how to code the index.php and view.php = so I am error free and able to view the bookmarks in the side panel of = Internet Explorer without loosing the Mozilla compatibility. Here is the = link to the 1.5 version of view.php that I am using. Any feedback would = be appreciated. Thanks. http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/bookmarksync/server-php-minimal/vie= w.php -CG ----- Original Message -----=20 From: CG=20 To: boo...@li...=20 Sent: Friday, February 06, 2004 5:55 PM Subject: [BMSYNC-USERS] safari Wow has this list been quite or have the posts stop coming to my = inbox? I think the last post I received was in December. I am an original syncit subscriber and when the site went down I set = up my own bookmarksync server with the help of this group. I am glad to say = that it works great! I have recently purchased a Mac Powerbook and I am lost with out the = ability to sync my bookmarks. I am using various work around methods such as exporting my favorites from my PC IE. However the Safari browser on = the Mac does not let you import so I am using the HTML page that IE generates = to click on my favorites. Obviously syncing is not at all possible using = this method. I have two questions: 1) Is anyone working on a Mac client? 2) Can anyone share any work arounds with me? One problem I am having = is that I can not view my bookmarks that are located in folders when I use the index.php/view.php file on my syncit site. Perhaps someone has = scripted a php page that is mac and PC friendly. Any help would be appreciated. Craig |
