First of all, I know that project forking is bad.

Unfortunatly by giving me more rights on the project doesn't solve the =
main problem, the bad performance of sourceforge. I know it's not nice =
to complain about a free service, but in my opinion the current =
situation on sourceforge is a major drawback for a vital open source =
project. Not only the broken anonymous cvs is a big problem, but also =
the substantial time lags mostly everywhere, e.g. web cvs but also the =
mailing lists. In my opinion the mailing lists were much more usable on =
yahoo.

Why trying to fix sourceforge annoyances when we can move to another =
open source hoster like berlios and spend our precious time on =
development of syncit instead?
