[Boa Constr] Application settings

Hello,

Where is the best place to keep application-wide settings during runtime 
in wxApp?

Now I'm use mainframe and read config from mainframe's constructor. 
Something like that:

self.cfg = wxConfig("MyApp", "Me")

But I'm have feeling that I'm doing something wrong ;) and there are 
more beautiful ways to do it...
