Oops, will change it.  Just FYI:

..., when selecting another property, e.g. Style you will see that the 
title has changed.  Alternatively you can also click on the "edit" 
button (...) to change the title and you will see the changes after you 
clicked on "OK" on the String Edit Dialog.

[Boa Constr] Tutorial, minor error ?

On the page:
2.2 Using the Designer to set the Title

It says:
"Edit the field called 'Title'. ..., when pressing return you 
will see that the title of the Designer window has changed."

But when I press Enter, nothing happens.
To make the title of the Designer window change,
I have to press the 'Post' button,
then open the Designer again.

i´m new to boa and have a big problem, configuring boa in order to work with  zope. I´m not able to define a zope-connection. Under the transport node, there is only the one for the filesystem, no ftp, dav or zope. does anybody know what the problem could be or what i have to do first? 

I have python 2.4.4, wxpython 2.8 and boa 0.6.1

You did see the small tutorial "Getting Started Guide"?

What specifically are you looking for?  If you want to see the different 
widgets in action then you should look at the wxPython demo (the code is 
a bit different as it has not been generated with Boa, but with a bit of 
experimentation you very quickly see how to use them from within Boa - 
assuming Boa is supporting it on its palette).

If you have a specific question to a widget then it is best to put a 
little sample together as best as you can and then post it as an 
attachment to this list and people here will try to help you.

One way to solve this is to create a file called 'sitecustomize.py' in
your Python folder and have these two lines in it:

sys.setdefaultencoding('utf-8')

Yeap, that fixes it.

Anyone having a script out there to change all (for a file and/or 
folder) the "_('" to "_(u'" and one should probably also change all the 
# -*- coding: iso-8859-1 -*-# to
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-# and probably also all the normal (non gettext) 
strings too.

The main challenge in 3-D IC design is performance-weakening heat dissipation, which is already a problem in 2-D chips, as any Stanford students who have written a term paper with their laptops on their laps know. Finding all kind of other little (and bigger things).
- I call maximize on the frame and it works on windows but not gtk2
- some of the sizers don't seem to work under gkt2, at least they don't 
work the same way then under windows (but you know about this one already).
- I am loading dummy notebook pages initially and then when user clicks 
on them I load the real one.  This is done to optimize/speed up initial 
loading.  On gtk2 this crashes, seen something about no event being 
fired when deleting a nb page - will have to look into this.

Will have to setup cvs server before going much further as otherwise I 
will end up with two versions instead of one which works on both :(.

Do I have to do some special steps moving Python source from my Windows 
box to Ubuntu?

I am asking as I get encoding errors when I try to run my application 
from within Boa, it complains that 'utf-8' can't decode:
        self.MainMenu.SetLabel(wxID_TWCBFPRINTINGLABELVINOTETAGS, 
_('Vinoté printable tags'))

If I copy/paste this string into the shell and print the variable it 
shows correctly.

No problem getting wxPython, actually it is one of the packages which is 
nearly up to date with 2.8.1.1.

Having problems with all the dependencies I have for my wine cellar book 
shareware, such as Firebird SQL etc etc, and the packages are mostly to 
old, so have to fight with building them.  But slowly but surely I am 
getting there.

Yeap, I finally jumped and installed Ubuntu on one of my machines.

So far not too bad, but still fighting with getting all the packages I 
need, a lot of them are easy but had a bit of a problem with kinterbasdb 
(Ubuntu for some reason does not have some of the c header files 
installed by default).

Now to my question relating to Boa, when I start it the Inspector and 
Editor Window overlap the notebook with all the controls, is there some 
setting to force them down a bit?
