I had the same problem with both words and tags underlined as spelling errors in one page but not another. So thanks, I hit F5 and cleaned up the underlining.
However this also highlighted a very serious problem I've had before; on that occasion I had to re-build a site because some page refused to display properly.
I've just been altering widths on a table, I then pasted it into another page. But that page refused to change. I purged the browser (Firefox) cache, nothing worked - until just now I hit F5.
Unfortunately, I did not check the browser page source (Ctrl+U) previously, but I believe it would have shown that the content visually "seen" in Bluefish is not necesserily the same as that being sent to the browser.

I assume you use the "preview in browser" function? How is your browser configured (as seen in the preferences?)

Yes I use the "preview in browser". In "External Commands", Windows 7 Firefox 32-bit is enabled and default browser. The external filters are all on; I haven't changed anything.
I seems to me that the problem only arises when copy and pasting content which is largely the same except for small differences, such as attribute numbers in two rows of content – TABLE and TD. Copy and pasting new content, or differences in body text are not affected.
It could be that only pasted content contained within arrow brackets is affected; just a suggestion.

is there any difference if you save before the view in browser, or if you use "view in browser" while there are unsaved changes in your file? Or the ultimate test: using view in browser on a untitled file (that has not been saved before)?

Well I only "view in browser" once to get the browser open, then I just refresh it (Ctrl+R) after any saved changes in Bluefish. Certain content, on rare occasions, will require clearing the cache (Ctrl+Shift+R).
Regarding an unsaved new file; that never happens. I always use an existing file as a template to start from.
However I will try to replicate the problem to isolate its nature; including using a file not previously opened in Bluefish. I will get back to you with results.

From the way you describe the problem, I'm not sure if the problem is in Bluefish or in the browser. If you see the issue (e.g. the browser does show the older version of the file), can you check the file in any other application (a different browser for example) to see if the problem is caused by the browser or by Bluefish?

Fortunately I do know the circumstances when the problem occurred. If I can replicate it again, I will also try opening the file direct from the folder in another browser and also check the page code directly from the browsers and from the folder with plain text editor. If it can be replicated, there should be a discrepancy.
One query though, how does the command "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" '%p' actually work? Does the browser get the page code from Bluefish or lookup the file directly?

Bluefish will start the command C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe file://my-web-page.html so the browser will load the code from disk (or from a webserver if you work on a remote server)
