Hi Rob, I can develop too and I just got a Samsung Rogue. I'm sad I can't get my pictures off of it just yet, so developing support for BitPim sounds like a good idea. Let me know if you want any help. Jeff Robert Jacobson-5 wrote: > > I have some development experience and access to a Samsung Rogue. I have posted a question about 1.0.7 on Ubuntu 8.04 on the user list but not received a reply. I would be grateful for any suggestions. I get the exception below when I try to create a memo in Bitpim to put on my LG Touch. Is this a permissions problem? How do I resolve the issue? Thanks Ted Parks BitPim version: 1.0.7.20090805-Test An unexpected exception has occurred. Please see the help for details on what to do. Hi again I still have a VX-5500 that I would like to loan out - is there someone who could use it for adding BitPim support? Maybe djpham? Basic (a little buggy) VX-9200 support exists in the latest test build. Hey Developers, I don't know how far along you guys are in supporting the VX9200, but I experimented a little today and got pictures and videos off, so I thought I would share my wisdom: 1) Bitpim auto-detected my phone as CDMA other: got nothing out 2) I set my phone to be the VX9100 (the previous model): again, not even phone info 3) I browse the file system: success! a. Pictures are in /brew/mod/10888 as *.jpg b. Videos are in /brew/mod/10890 as *.3g2 or 3GPP2 (according to Wikipedia, which claims it is similar to mpeg4. Quicktime played it perfectly!) Hope that helps! : - ) Alex |

Hello, I have this cell phone. I can access file-system (read/write files). But all other features are unavailable. From what I understand - this cell phone is not supported by Bitpim. I am not familiar with Python, but I have some C++ background. Is there anyone who can help me to add support of this phone? I want to get answers to a few dummy questions, since I am new to python & bitpim. ps. I can easy write a C++ code which will read phonebook file from my phone and extract all entries. Thanks. |
