#129 Biber failed on Ubuntu 12.04

After last update of biber (version 1.2, 16th August 2012) every biber command fails with this error on Ubuntu 12.04:

IO/Uncompress/Base.pm did not return a true value at /usr/local/perl/lib/5.14.1/IO/Uncompress/RawInflate.pm line 11.

Is this with the binary biber? 32 or 64bit?

32-bit binary biber from TeX Live 2012

Your OS is definitely 32bit?

Yes, I have Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit and TeX Live 2012 i386 binaries. Before TeX Live update of biber I was able to run biber without problems. Downgrading biber to version 1.1 (rev 27332 for package biber' and version 27291 forbiber.i386-linux' in TeX Live 2012) solves the problems.

I have just installed a VM with 32-bit Ubuntu 12.04 and applied all updates. When I run biber 1.2 downloaded from SF on a test file, it runs with no problems for me. Can you try the SF direct binary just to see if this is a TL issue?

Your binary works for me. Now I have updated biber binary on TeX Live and it also magically works.
