It's a great way to keep up with journals in my field, as they all have feeds available via some means. When I follow a link from an RSS feed, it takes me to the journal's page for that article, where I can download the pdf, read abstracts, etc. I used to download the little ris file and import it manually into bibdesk. However, if there were a way of doing all of this from my RSS feed, it would be much more streamlined. Currently, I copy the journal article's title and then search for it via BibDesk's pubmed search in order to import it.
