Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: bhelm (bhelm) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Preview doesn't show crossrefs properly Initial Comment: Create an entry with a cross-reference to another entry. Select it in main BibDesk window, and turn Preview on. The result is incomplete: the cross-reference isn't picked up at all. (E.g.: Brooks, Rodney (1997). Intelligence without Representation. 395420.) Select not only the original entry but also the cross-referenced entry, and turn Preview on. The result this time is inconsistent: the PDF Preview is again incomplete, with a "?" where the cross-reference info should go. Thus: Brooks, Rodney (1997). Intelligence without Representation. In ?, 395420. (1999). Cambrian Intelligence: The Early History of the New AI (Cambridge: MIT Press). However, the Text Preview gives a complete citation: Brooks, Rodney (1997). Intelligence without Representation. In Brooks (1999), 395420. (1999). Cambrian Intelligence: The Early History of the New AI (Cambridge: MIT Press). The only way I've discovered to get a complete citation in PDF Preview is first to select the cross-referencing and the cross-referenced entries, turn Preview on, then Shift-click on a 3rd entry (doesn't matter which), and when Preview refreshes it has the complete citation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=497423&aid=1212170&group_id=61487 |
