Since a new version seems to be in the offing... (although perhaps
too close for new features)...
I would really like to be able to edit multiple records, as with id3
tags in iTunes. Probably not a simple thing to implement, but
really, really useful.
I would really like to be able to click the loca-url icon in the
column view. It seems awfully inconvenient to have to actually open
a record to click on the local-url icon... and an easy feature to
implement, I would think. Good bang for buck!
I would really like to be able to preserve column view states for a
given record type. That is, I want to see different column
arrangements when I'm looking at articles versus books. This is
especially important for custom record types, which may have numerous
unusual fields, which at present can only be displayed meaningfully
in column view by tediously adding and arranging the custom fields...
and then, adding insult to injury, by undoing it all when switching
back to a a list of more standard record type. It would be nice to
either select from a list of saved column configurations, or just
have BD remember column settings for any type group.
