To reproduce, I have to download
wikipedia_de_20051127.dic.dz first (I do not see this
problem with english wikipedia). I found only the
bit-torrent feed (http://www.crispy-cow.de/wikimedia/), but
dowloading seems to take forever. If you know other location
where I can download, please post URL. Thanks.

I replicated the problem and found the cause - the sorting
routine has changed a bit from 9.6 to 1.0. This was in fact
a bug fix, but it also affected the way entries are sorted
in dictionaries that contain char-precedence list
(collation) for not all characters that appear in the
keywords of a dictionary. Clean solution is to regenerate
wikipedia with the xerox from 1.0. I will see if it is
possible to add a hack for backward compatibility with older
dictionaries.
