Visto che ho finito gli esami per ora e visto che la mia tesi verte sulla gestione c/s di avatars, pensavo magari di iniziare, ho iniziato a tirar giu' una piccola architettura basata su Socket, ma non ho idea di quali classi debbano essere passate da una parte all'altra, se interessa posso mandare le sorgenti che ho gia' preparato. Ciao, finalmente sto finendo i preparativi per il viaggio!! Dalla prossima settimana abito in Danimarca (naturalmente sempre con Manu) e dato che questi ultimi giorni sono frenetici, tra preparativi, traslochi e cavolate varie, andro' in blackout e ricominciero' ad usare l'email direttamente da lassu' in DK, la prossima settimana. Devo dire che + si avvicina il momento di andare e + sento che mi mancherete tutti quanti (sig, bastardi, sob!) ma dato che quasi certamente dovro' tornare giu' qua alla fine di ottobre (per cavolate legate alla tesi di dottorato 8< )... Be' ora filo, ci sentiamo Andrea |

Two postdoctoral research fellowships are available in the research
group of William Stafford Noble in the Department of Genome Sciences
at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate
will have a Ph.D. in computer science or a biological science, and
will have considerable research experience in computational biology.
The group's research focuses on the development of machine learning
techniques for application to molecular biology and genetics.
Research areas include the supervised analysis of microarray
expression data, prediction of gene structures from genomic DNA,
recognition of remote relationships among proteins, and the discovery
and analysis of transcriptional elements in non-coding DNA. More

The Department of Genome Sciences was founded in September 2001 as the
fusion of the Departments of Genetics and Molecular Biotechnology.
Research in the department addresses questions in biology and medicine

Ciao a tutti. Sono qua in Danimarca ed oggi mi sono beccato il primo giorno di corso di Danese (full immersion!). La lingua e=B4 simpatica e penso che a molti di voi potrebbe piacere PRATICARLA, dato le simpatiche oriunde che scorrazzano per la facolta=B4 (che poi=B4 e=B4 lettere !!, guarda caso). A parte qualche pioggerellina (che ha messo a dura prova la nostra tenda)= , fin qua nessun intoppo e ci stiamo pure abbronzando. Ci sono 22-25 gradi e quando anche piove, normalmente lo fa per 15 minuti circa, poi la nuvoletta va via e torna il sole. Il cielo e=B4 bestiale, e dato che la + alta cima della Danimarca non rag= giunge i 250 mt. sldm !!!, la vista spazia da matti in tutte le direzioni. La vita costa come a Torino, ma e=B4 l=B4unica similitudine tracciabile. Da oggi comincio a cercare lavoro e casa. Fatemi gli auguri: a costo di lavare i cessi dell=B4IKEA (che qui e=B4 en= orme) ci vengo a vivere quassu=B4 !!! Ciao a tutti, per tutto il mese di agosto me ne vado in Danimarca in vacanza e gia' che ci sono mi studio un po' di Danese. Torno a settembre e dovro' tassativamente finire la mia tesi di dottorato (che e' esponenzialmente + rompi palle di quella normale ! :< ), quindi ad ottobre (facendo tutte le corna del caso) me ne rivado su in DK e ci resto. Vorrei salutarvi per le vacanze e precisare che, dato che Avatars e' un progetto nostro, nessuno lo potra' bloccare, anche se me ne vado (vantaggi di non essere cagati: se non stai facendo nulla ufficialmente, non ti possono dire di smettere); tanto una qualche forma di connessione alla Rete di sicuro me la compero lassu' e cosi' si procedera' come abbiamo sempre fatto: nel tempo libero. Quindi ci sentiamo a settembre e buone vacanze a tutti (anche a nome di Manu). Andrea Ps. Dalla DK cmq dovrei riuscire a leggere le email anche ad agosto, quindi... :) |

Mi mandano questa proposta di tesi (tesina per i 3 anni). Sembra che pensino che io abbia amicizie tra voialtri scansafatiche... ehm studenti, e quindi Cristina mi ha chiesto se qualcuno ha interesse in AI e planning. Se ho capito si tratta di prendere un algo bello e fatto e implementarlo, e di conseguenza scriverci una tesina. Non penso sia molto utile per il gioco degli Avatars, ma magari a qualcuno di voi interessa e cosi' vi giro la email. Fatemi sapere. |
