Sean, I deleted the inifile and started again. It works the fine the first time and on a system restart the app loads fine and the hot keys (two of them) work okay as well. It is when I start the UI that the exception occurs. Thanks for the response.

I've put out a new version of Audio Switcher 1.4.1.1 RC1
I know what is causing the issue, but not sure why it's happening. I've changed the way the hotkeys are saved into the file. Let me know if this fixes it.
Cheers

Sean, I don't get the exception but on an application close and restart, the application has lost the hotkeys and I have to exit the application, delete the ini file, and restart the application to reconfigure it.

Suddenly left clicking the small music node in the status bar will only switch from one favourite to the next - no back to the over one again. I only have 2 favourites - My speakers and my headset. Setting it manually to the Headset and then pressing the music node will change to speakers - but pressing once more will NOT make it change to my Headset.
Any ideas.
Just to tell you - moved my computer to another room - don't think that I have put my Headset into the same USB port (Oh yaeh - its a USB Headset)
BR. and thanks for a great program!

Good stuff! Windows does some stupid stuff, like assigning a new Device ID to the same device in a different port, or when you reinstall it. Sadly there's no real way around it.
Generally clearing the setting in the ini file is the way to go if something isn't working as expected.
I might look at "patching" this issue, to make the quick switch ignore "Not Present" devices.
Glad you like the App :)

That's very weird! I know Norton was also blocking it in the past.
I can tell you that it is AVG that is directly causing the issues. Not using AVG, and giving up on "Virus Scanners" years ago, I've never had any problems!
I'll see what I can do to get it allowed through AVG, and let you know of any changes.
Glad you have it working, for now.
Cheers,

Dang,
That's probably something to do with the changes I made.
I'm working on a 2.0 version at the moment. It's a lot tidier, and handles hotkeys a lot better.
I'll give v1 another attempt at fixing it, and see if I close v1 into a final release.
My recommendation is to wait for v2.0 to hit, and give that a test. It should be "beta testable" in a few weeks.
If you'd like the pre-release version of v2.0, let me know and I'll send it through to you when it's more stable.
Cheers,
Sean
Sure - I’d love to try 2.0 when you are ready.

Try 1.5.3.2 it should auto update from your current version, if you manually check for updates.
I think I fixed it, and fixed a few other random issues too.

Oh just figured it out my self!
I just opened the ini file and deleted the favourites manually - seams like it still had the "old" Headset "link" in there.
After setting headset and speakers to favourites again - it is working like a charm :D
