  • Excellent, but doesn't launch at startup! I don't know why this happens. I have used a similar product, and I have no problems with the other one.
  • Allows you to switch to a different audio device very quickly with just one click or the press of a hotkey.
  • Great soft ! Now it's easy t ouse my two DAC with my computer
  • Sweet and Easy... just like me :). There's one thing I would like to see added though and that is 'auto-switching', i.e. where I start a game and Audio Switcher will direct output to the headphones only, and when I close the game it should switch back to the speaker. I know, it may make the program a lil bit bigger, but still..... :) Cheers, Baile
  • Does exactly what you need it to, clean, simple, out of the way.
  • Awesome tool. I suggest to add the ability to rename a device (f.e. with my DELL Latitude, I have the same device name for output to internal speakers and to external ones when docked to the docking station, it's a nightmare to select the right one).
  • This utility is very useful! I will donate, but how much beer for the C# source? ;-) Suggestions, some already mentioned: (1) Same hotkey to cycle a group of devices (like the "quick switch" feature) (2) Allow a single hotkey to change both a playback and a recording device (3) Configurable system tray icons that reflect current devices, especially the recording device. Regarding other reviews: The 1-star rating from yzx333 isn't fair because (s)he is using XP, a good old O/S, but not advertised as supported. Does it deserve 1 star because it won't work on my Commodore 64? :D And an uninstall isn't neccesary since the app isn't "installed" in the traditional sense, except for the registry change when "start when Windows starts" is selected. But you don't need an uninstall to uncheck this, or to delete the two files (EXE & INI). The "portable" design is perfect as far as I'm concerned! Well done!
  • Must have if you are a gamer and swap between a headset and speakers a lot. Setting up some hotkeys to swap is amazing. I love it so much I just donated a few bucks to the creator :)
  • I've used many audio switchers and for some reason I have never used this until now! You really can't get any simpler than this, it doesn't really need anymore functionality, it already does everything you need from an audio switcher. This is by far the BEST audio switcher around! If anyone reading this has a headset, you need this one! Great program and a must have! Thanks!! 5* for all
  • Finally I ran into this!! Excellent portable program. It does what it says with many useful options and it's really easy to use and lightweight. Totally love it! Infinite thanks!!!!
  • Just does what I needed. If you set it to start minimized with Windows, you can right-click the gadget in the systray to get a single menu for audio output AND input. No longer need to use the inconvenient (and nearly hidden to ordinary users) Windows 7 command (even if you create a special audio settings shortcut, you have to navigate through tabs, then close the window...) A small improvement could be adding a slider for adjusting power like in AudioSwitch;) - which does not control the input and therefore does not suit my needs: if you change the output you may have to control the input in order to avoid Larsen effect.

  • Works as expected. Would have liked to be able to left click to choose output though(now one can only right click).

  • Good program, does what it should. But the documentation is indifferent (or well-hidden, I couldn't find it ;-) And I'd repeat the request for programmable icons so I can see at a glance whether I'm on headphones or speakers. And a slap on the wrist -- all programs should have an uninstall function, preferably in Control Panel. --- Derek
  • Does what it says on the tin, quite well.

  • Tried a few of these but this is the only one that actually works. Would love to have a hotkey that acts the same as clicking the tray icon (cycle through faves).

  • Audioswitcher works wonderful.

  • Incredible program. Lightweight, fast, exactly what I needed. Uses about 13MB of RAM, which is about 1/3 of what other similar programs were using. Definitely recommended.

  • Sweet program. No installation so, before running place in folder in program files to enable run from start-up. Ensure devices attached when you run so they can be detected.
  • I wish I could use this software on my computer, because my audio driver only allows headphone to be acctached to front panel audio jack, but my front panel audio jack was busted. When I plug my headphone jack to the back panel which is design for speakers, the sound is terrible. Unfortunately, everytime I tried to install Audio Swticher, it just appear for like 2 seconds in the system tray and then disappear and nothing happens. FYI, I am using Win XP SP3 and my audio chipset is Via VT1708B from ECS Intel G31 mainboard.

  • Extremely useful and better that anything I have tried. A small problem I noticed was It wouldn't let me add more than two hot key mappings. This can be easily overcome by creating the hot key mappings you want and then copying them somewhere else. once you have all the key mappings you need copy back into the settings file.
  • Exactly what I needed. GUI is looks like the Windows settings but can set Favorites which you can select over the Task Icon. The possibiility to switch with Hotkeys is fast and hasslefree. Runs on Windows 8, 64 Bit.
