I updated to the newest version of Audacity, but in doing so I have found that there is a new version of Clip Fix. I run a Dungeons and Dragons podcast and previously I could set the threshold to 100% and it would get rid of the very loud dice rolls throughout the recording. However, with the new version I am having trouble doing this as there is a new option that states “Reduce amplitude to allow…” It seems with this change, now when I go to do clip fix with even the default settings, it drastically lowers the volume of my recordings. Previously, the clip fix would simply lower the dice rolls without affecting the rest of the audio. Any ideas on how to help with this or if I could install an older version of clip fix and use that instead in Audacity? Thank you for your time. -- Eric Bell |
