I'm working on an augmented version of Bill's Awesome Image Map: https://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/Main_Page I intend to build on that idea, and produce a dynamic javascript image map, that acts as a kind of super index to the manual. In particular it will include the menu items, and will include the alternative Transport Buttons that you get when you press shift. I have started doing the interaction design. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Proposal_Dynamic_Imagemap_using_Javascript Comments on the ideas are very welcome, both on the main part of the page and the discussion page. This is a way for people to find their way into the manual. It also should help us with producing annotated images for the manual which take a long time to do by hand. This connects in with the part of the project to generate images for the manual, which has produced imagemaps for the menus and preferences. --James. |
