* panorbit.ny: Orbit panning (corrected version, attached) Makes your stereo audio sound like it's in orbit around (circling) something. Pan, tremolo, lowpass filter and pitch modulation are controlled by an LFO. Does not work on mono audio. Variables: 1. LFO frequency - the rate of a low frequency oscillator generating a sine wave below 20hz. 2. LFO starting phase - Either -90 or +90 degrees, for best illusion of your stereo audio orbiting something. 3 & 4. left-most and right-most pan positions - Either of which can be set anywhere from 0 (left) to 5 (center) to 10 (right), for the panning sweep. 5. Tremolo wetness - Set at zero, there is no change in volume during the LFO sweep. Set to 100 percent, the volume will sweep, like in a tremolo, from full volume to zero and back. 6. Lowest lowpass filter cutoff frequency - To further enhance the illusion of orbiting, the low volume corresponds to a drop in the cutoff frequency of a lowpass filter. The highest volume corresponds to an increase in the cutoff frequency of the lowpass filter. 7. Pitch modulation depth - Similar to how you can hear the pitch of a car increase as it approaches you and drop as it moves away from you, the pitch of your audio can be modulated. This variable controls how deeply you want the pitch modulated. panorbit.ny is also posted at http://www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/panorbit.htm Written by David R. Sky, January 12, 2006.
