Further to my previous post (sorry, I'm just excited at things moving  on!)...
 
I also got Soundtouch to compile/link in Visual C++ .2005 Express Beta-2 by  
sorting out a problem with line 176, putting it to:
    resultDivider = (uint)pow(2.0,  (int)resultDivFactor);
VC++ seems to complain about overloaded functions not  having the correct 
parameters, and quite rightly in my opinion! (but what do I  know?  I don't know 
how to test the functionality of it!)
