Please consider adding a URL property type for nodes/edges. In the user interface clicking the value of a URL property should open the link in the default browser.
This lets users move between applications more easily than copying and pasting.

A new feature, allowing to choose an URL property among the graph's STRING properties and then open a node/edge associated url in the default browser, has been added to Tulip.
It will be available in the next release.
