You were missing two things:

1) Colleen v4.1+ (released today)

2) USB hub between Pixel 7 and DualJoyUSB device.

I don't know the USB hub is required but currently it is.

Will fix that eventually but I don't have the virtual buttons enabled
on my phone so I missed it.
