#22 Create a palm-wide night mode hack

I have a Kyocera 7135. In order to use the phone or
palm, I must have the screen backlit. Since your night
mode only applies to Astro Info, I have a dilema. There
are a few other apps that I use in the field, as well as
the phone, which is itself a palm app.

I really hate killing my dark adaptation to take a call, but
have had to on many occations. If you could generalize
your night mode and make it a hack for the palm, I can
feel free to use my palm/phone without disturbing myself
or my observing friends.

We should be able to add an option to leave the night mode
scheme in place without too much trouble. It may be more
difficult if it requires a system hack.
