Damn, I think you _are_ right. Index numbers are wrong on maps which use both plant growers and stuff with higher indices (e.g. buildings), for example 0_semos_plains_n, which now appears to be severly broken everywhere where buildings should be. It should be possible to remove all the plant growers I added to the maps, but unfortunatelly I think there are not enough free squares anymore to put them into without increasing the tileset size. An alternative would maybe be to create a new tileset and put the plants inside. But of course it would be better to somehow extend the existing tilesets; after all, sooner or later we will need additional monsters and other stuff that needs to go somewhere in the objects tileset. The possibly cleanest solution would be to use the monsters tileset, which would make room for the plant growers etc. in the objects tileset. But for that, we would need a script to convert the existing maps. (Pretty sure that there are too many monsters to change them by hand.) The downside is of course that we couldn't make a release before the conversion is done. But I think we shouldn't release it as it is now; sorry for that. Cheers, Daniel |
