So new players can check in which direction which town is positioned and can follow the directions better. Greetings Bluelads4 p.s. maybe a link to the Atlas can be used here? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2012-04-03 04:49 Message: This is one awesome article.Really looking forward to read more. It could just be a normal map stand, which shows a map of the surrounding from the place you currently are. Like when you are in Semos, you'll get a map shown with directions marked such as mountains in the North, Forest to the south, etc. The NPC Barbarus for example shows a map with a rough drawing of Semos Mines, I thought about something similar to that. Now newbies for example are guided a bit by the new wall and the paths out, but still there are no directions shown. Map stands might help finding the directions you need better. Sure you can use the Atlas and open the page actually, but having it shown in the game is maybe better, so you don't have to switch between a browser and your game window. The link to the Atlas and making that window pop up was more an idea how to open the popup in game, without drawing a new map, but having a map which doesn't show anything and just a part as I described is nicer I think. If I have some time I'll work on the idea. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: monsterdhal (monsterdhal) Date: 2011-09-19 02:41 Message: *...that's done... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: monsterdhal (monsterdhal) Date: 2011-09-19 01:41 Message: There is a link to the Atlas with a "me" marker at the actual position in the actual release. So hat's done, isn't it? That's not really a "map stand" in some towns, but it can be used everywhere. Does it make the questioned map stands dispensable? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=351111&aid=3399900&group_id=1111 |
