Category: Client Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Summary: Corpse Access Restriction Initial Comment: The corpse access restriction does not work propperly and should be expanded or fixed to the following points: 1. the restriction should be permanent until the corpse disapears 2. the corpse should be /only/ accessable the person who blocked the creature in the first 3. the player who blocked the creature should be able to access the corps, even if any other player is standing on it. 4. those restrictions should not affect expedition groups in itself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kimmo Rundelin (kiheru) Date: 2011-03-16 13:48 Message: 1. Would prevent looting corpses other players have abandoned. High level players tend to leave a lot of cheaper items in the corpses because they don't have the space to loot everything. 2. Currently it is the player who does who takes most of the damage, usually the one who needs to use potions and takes all the risk of dying . I consider this more fair than always rewarding the first player. The downside is that sometimes it's possible to "steal" a kill of a creature someone else has found. 1 & 2. Find a creature that's too strong to you. Escape => higher level player who comes around and kills it does not get the loot she deserves. 3. A problem to solve; There can be other corpses or items on top of the player bound corpse 4. Already in working for player groups, if loot mode is shared (default) A good suggestion to solve 3. would be very welcome ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=101111&aid=3216316&group_id=1111 |
