I am not worried about lower levels getting killed. If you dont wanna get killed, dont run back to where u got killed to be killed again.... lol What we will do is to make sure killing players is not giving you large loot or so. That was the problem in UO, it was just so cool to kill players cause u usually ended up with a ton of reagents and armor and everything else. That will just not happen, if you kill someone you get a few gold coins and one item from him or so. Other than that, I really DO want rampage playerkilling, because thats what makes the game really fascinating and serious. All the whiners on UO ALWAYS came back to play, even after getting killed a thousand times, guess why.. because it was just REAL. It was a serious game and it had impact on you, if you got killed you were really pissed... :) That emotional tie is what made the early uo REALLY great. If you dont wanna get killed, dont run around alone in the open. If you do, expect to be killed. I want anyone to be able to play a criminal without larger penalties, but then, also without that large of a loot. He should do it just for sports. Hunting players that is. Also of course there will be a bounty system, and if you kill someone there will be a penalty that will actually stop you from running away. Which means, if you do PvP, you will be up for more. :) The big problem in UO was that criminals ran away and there was no way to catch them if they didnt want to. Thats what we will not have. After killing someone and with a high murder count there will be the possibility to "lock" a criminal from running or logging off, and a marker to his position. So if you kill people for fun, expect to get killed by bounty hunters REAL often. This probably means you will have to have a second char supporting your kiling machine.
