Maybe we should start setting up teams to work on the codebase, as code investigation should be about ready. I am just reading the xtreme programming books, so I am wondering whether its a good idea to always assign tasks to teams of two persons, so they can code and review themselves. Of course we cant be on one computer, but I think it would still be an advantage, even over CVS. The only thing is that those two always need to communicate, which should be a good thing. (I suggest using our IRC channel. This actually works, I did it when I was getting help from Miguel.) I do have some smaller tasks right now that can be handed off to coding teams, and that do not require full knowledge of every piece of code there is... Maybe we can get a count of all developers that actually want to code and then divide them up into teams? Then of course we can start using the bug tracker again, I personally think we should go with the SF tracker instead of the one on the dev page, because a) it helps us get more activity on SF, thus drawing more devs to Arianne b) its proven c) our dev page is in the works, and we get a new one soon!? :) d) why use an own maybe buggy thing if we have a professional one available? Comments are appreciated... SkyFlash |
