I was thinking something along the lines as the outline of an item in 'Diablo' / 'Diablo II' when you mouse over an item on the ground. I think the item gains a yellow outline until you move the mouse away. It could be when your character can see another character / item, it becomes outlined, when you can no longer see it, the outline goes away. - Steve Barrett |
