Category: Code Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Erik Ottosen (nekoincardine) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Stendhal: Walking Method error Initial Comment: Whenever I hold the walk button long enough to get walking, I move two tiles, then back one, repeatedly. I'm using the Java Web Start version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ragnar-GD (ragnar-gd) Date: 2005-08-15 19:59 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=913250 I made this observation myself, but always had another explanation at hand: This only happened, when the CPU had a load of 90%+ on the server OR on the Client (or both at the same time, when I started server and client on the same machine). I'm not sure how, but maybe we must look for high CPU-load in the logs of the server? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-08-15 15:34 Message: Logged In: NO By me it's different. I can walk 5 tiles or so but than i move back for. When i walk 4 tiles i move back 3 so i can only walk one tile a time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Erik Ottosen (nekoincardine) Date: 2005-08-14 08:36 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=871625 It appears that the Walking animation sends me at an x (or y) speed sufficient to send me two tiles, then it synchs with the server location, which only moved me one tile. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=101111&aid=1258865&group_id=1111 |
