I currently keep a backup of my files with Areca in a local disk, and would want to set-up a server somewhere else in the cloud to have a delocalized backup.
My initial idea is to just rsync my local copy towards the server in the cloud. There are some concerns I'm worried about: Is this an appropriate way of mirroring an Areca backup? What would happen if a rsync run failed? (e.g. because of network connection error). Would the backup on the server be still usable? Or would it be necessary a successfull rsync run?
Any comment would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Guillermo
