Can you let me know if there are reasons why we shouldn't do this or if the steps to update FCKEditor are documented somewhere? Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5524069 By: apevec Hi all, it would nice that developers asking for aplaws svn repo write access introduce themselves on this list and post their patches first. Then I'll ask existing svnaplaws group members to approve new member collectively. Note that you don't need write access to just checkout svn repository, see instructions at http://fedorahosted.org/aplaws/ Cheers, Alan ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5445987 By: csgupta Hi, Quick question regarding content item creation and publishing in other language than English. Can I not create and publish content item in either french or Hindi? when we create content item it gives option to select the language in which, content item would be viewble to end user. Let us say i want to create Content Item in Hindi so i set the 'hi' parameter in CCM variable 'com.arsdigita.cms.languages'. as people has said in this forum. This populates hindi option in language drop-down in content-center. Now when i create content item selecting hindi from drop-down in content-center center. the content item extention is being created with .hi extention. But in real sense it is not different than english content item. I have checked the properties file in ccm-cms/.../com/arsdigita/cms/util/iso639full.properties , i don't understand what exactlly i need to do? Could anybody suggest regarding this context.. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5176994 By: britprc To recreate the problem The workflow you want to amend must be assigned to an APLAWS content type. 1. Select a workflow that has at least one task with a dependency set. 2. Select a task in the workflow that has at least one dependency and edit it. 3. Remove all dependencies and select 'Finish'. 4. You should get an 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: Value of ACSObject acsObject is null' error. 5. Go back to the workflow selected in step 1. 6. Select the task you edited in step 2. The 'Task state' should be displayed as 'enabled'. 7. You should get an 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: Value of ACSObject acsObject is null' error. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5166006 By: britprc Hi, Has anyone else had a problem with workflow tasks where the 'Task state' becomes enabled. When we try and edit the task it produces a 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: Value of ACSObject acsObject is null.' APLAWS error. I've used Developer Support and looked at the SQL statements but haven't been able to track down the error. We think the task gets into this state after someone saves it after unchecking all the dependences previously assigned to the task. I'm trying to ascertain the exact cause of this problem and will post more information when I've got it. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5160123 By: alun_fha We've had this occur on our APLAWS instances. It happens when someone has tried to publish 2 content items at the same time - when no items have previously been published (e.g. when you are trying to publish a stack of draft items using multiple browser tabs/windows). As nothing has been published in the folder - there is no live folder, and both publishing threads create a new live folder. (Publishing several content items at the same time once the first item is published doesn't cause the same problem - as the live folder already exists.) The solution is to unpublish all the items in the folder - and then start again. Sometimes you'll get an error unpublishing one of the content items - just leave this one until last and try again. Hope this helps. Alun ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5160046 By: britprc Hi, Has anyone else had a problem which has resulted in a duplicate live folder in the cms_items and cms_folders tables referring to the same master_id. This causes an APLAWS 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: null.' error on the public facing web site when trying to view items in the duplicate folder. We think the problem was due to someone doing multiple article unpublish, move to folder and then publish commands using the multiple tabs option in Firefox. To get around this problem we're intending to manually rename the 'orphaned' duplicate live folder directly in the database. If you need more information or have a better fix for this problem let me know. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5120802 By: lbcfrancois Hi all, This issue is puzzling me and I am hoping one of you might be able to point me in the correct direction. I have a running production (rpm) instance of aplaws 1.4.0 connecting to an Oracle backend with JBoss (4.0.5). I can start and stop Aplaws without issues and telnet to the DB. However when I try to load a new ccm package I am getting [root@lbcstaging ~]# ccm load ccm-ldn-camden-decisiontree [JRockit] Local management server started. [JRockit] Local management server started. CHECK: The database type is recognized CHECK: The Oracle JDBC driver is available CHECK: The ccm-core package is configured. CHECK: The JDBC URL parameter is set. WARNING: The database is not accepting connections I have checked all I could think of so any pointers will be appreciated. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5110297 By: britsp We have been using Tomcat 5.5 and JDK 5 for quite some time now with the existing aplaws 1.0.4 code. We have also tried running aplaws in JDK 6 in a development instance and it seems to run fine. With regards to standardizing the aplaws deployment: has anyone considered Maven for this? This would eliminate the need for the aplaws build scripts & environment, and would build a WAR file in the standard way. A while back I experimented creating some maven build files and although it did build a big war file OK, the code didn't run of course as I hadn't made the necessary structural changes mentioned in pboy's roadmap. The roadmap plan looks like a good idea. I imagine one of the biggest barriers to newcomers using Aplaws has been that you can't just download a WAR file, drop in in your application server, and try it out. One thing that occurs to me is about the suggested directory locations for registry etc. If these are inside the aplaws web context, then redeploying an updated WAR file would cause these files to be lost (at least, that would be the case in tomcat) so maybe this stuff would need to be external to the web context? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5107339 By: terry_permeance Hi Peter, We're keen to move off Tomcat 4.1.34 and JDK 1.4 for that matter (although we run with Java 6), so we'll help any way we can! Are you proposing to combine the individual web-apps, i.e. ccm-ldn-atoz, ccm-ldn-rss, etc. into a single web-app? Keeping them separate will require duplication of jars but more importantly will cause problems with static registries/caches/etc. no longer being shared due to class-loader separations. Thoughts?
