As I found their ID in src/drivers/usb/usb_common.h as well as multiple references to MGE elsewhere in the code, I thought it was more or less supported. Also, I seemed to recall APC and MGE are somewhat linked together, but I'm not sure so I'll need to check that. Maybe apcupsd is just not the proper tool for my UPS. I just found out about NUT (http://www.networkupstools.org/) which might be a better fit.
