That change has been long since applied (archived mail is from 2006).
The current timeout is 40 seconds. When you do the self-test, do you
hear your UPS switch to battery? If so, do you hear it switch off of
battery before or after apcupsd concludes the test timed out? If it
happens after apcupsd has given up, how long does it take, start to
finish?
