[Apcupsd-users] Communications with UPS lost -- Every 10 minutes??

Adam,

	I have a strange apcupsd error that is appearing every 10 minutes like 
clockwork on our favorite box nemesis (the one that showed < 3 minutes runtime 
until the ATI Radeon 9600 card was removed) (not the one with the swapped pins 
on the serial cable):

	Setup Details:

apcupsd version: apcupsd 3.14.5 (10 January 2009) suse
OS: openSuSE 11.0
UPS: APC BP-650
Output: smart signaling w/940-0095A cable

	The strange message I keep getting is "Communications with UPS lost." 
However, every time I try and check it with apcaccess, it is working 
perfectly. Another strange part of the problem is that the error message 
repeats like clockwork every 10 minutes:
