Ok, that all looks good.

One more thing. Please open a command prompt window and run apcupsd by 
hand using the following command

    apcupsd -d1000 -T

You may need to 'cd' into the apcupsd/bin directory, depend on how your 
PATH is set.

Apcupsd should fail just as before, but this time it will create a trace 
log file called "apcupsd.trace". Please send me that log file and it may 
help me find the problem.
