Hi There, I have a APC SmartUPS 1000, which i am trying to get going in dom0 on my debian sarge xen server. I know that the UPS is connected as i get this in my syslog: Mar 30 16:19:04 localhost kernel: usb 3-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4 Mar 30 16:19:05 localhost kernel: hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [American Power Conversion Smart-UPS 1000 FW:652.13.I USB FW:7.3] on usb-0000:00:1d.1-2 Mar 30 16:19:05 localhost usb.agent[7692]: usbhid: already loaded So the server can see the ups over usb. But i get this error message when starting apcupsd: Mar 30 16:42:57 localhost apcupsd[8146]: apcupsd FATAL ERROR in smartsetup.c at line 67 Cannot open UPS port usb: No such file or directory Mar 30 16:42:57 localhost apcupsd[8146]: apcupsd error shutdown completed Any thoughts as to what todo here? Thanks, Simon |
