Amonite

Amonite is a curated Debian 13 (Trixie) based GNU/Linux distribution designed around simplicity, efficiency, security, privacy and maintainability.

Amonite Mobile provides a mobile-first Wayland environment built from independent upstream components, using labwc and UWSM, with touchscreen support and ARM64 hardware integration.

The system integrates mobile-oriented functionality including telephony, messaging, networking, multimedia and camera support, together with Waydroid for running Android applications.

Waydroid is integrated with preinstalled LineageOS 20 (Android 13) VANILLA system and MAINLINE vendor images, requiring no Google services, OTA configuration or post-install Android download.

Amonite favors standard Debian mechanisms, declarative configuration and low coupling over custom desktop infrastructure or unnecessary background services.
