What Happened to Embrace?

Hi,
   I've been using Alpha for many years and am still very happy with it. However, i have not been using it as much as I have in the past, so I don't know when this problem started. For whatever reason, I can no longer fire Embrace with Control B. When I hit that shortcut, nothing happens.

   I know that Embrace is still working because I have some TeX-specific bindings that use Embrace to put things in math mode. Those bindings still work.

   Does anyone have an idea of how I can restore Control B? Should I now be using a different shortcut? The help files seem to say the shortcut is still Control B.

   I'm using Alpha 9.2.3 on macOS 12.6 on a 2019 MacBook Pro.
