Hi Eberhard,
I can’t reproduce this. I just opened an R file from the Finder using Open With and got no such message.
Normally you would see this message ("Can't find app with id etc. ») only when you try to process the file from Alpha using « Process Current File » or « Process Selection » from Alpha’s S+/R menu.
In this S+/R menu, there is a command « Set Tools… ». This is the command you should use to set the command line R. Currently on my machine it is set to /usr/local/bin/R (Alpha tries to detect this automatically).
Concerning the GUI app (R.app or RStudio.app), you can also set this in the "Mode Options" submenu of the S+/R menu.
Does this answer your questions or did I miss something ?
