If you justify this paragraph you will see that (1?)  has an added space
behind it, whereas (1) does not.  Of course a plain fullstop as end of
sentence also has 2 spaces as it should, but when you put it into quotes
"."  or '.'  it has also two so I would think that this (tiny little
observation) is not a feature :-)-O
